Bull Terriers are descended from English Bulldogs crossed with Terriers. Miniature Bull Terriers contain some Pointer blood. Miniature Bull Terriers are prone to have loose kneecaps. White Bull Terriers came into fashion among the well-to-do in the mid 1800s. Bull Terriers have often been used as guard dogs in the past, however modern Bull Terriers are very gentle.
